Aeolus - IVD Round 1 - Team Breaking Wind

This is the Huron IVD team (Breaking Wind) and our first IVD vehicle, Aeolus (the god of wind).  Students designed an innovative combination of electrothon-style kit car with a small wind turbine. This was the very first IVD competition and the original theme was "Innovation".  The Huron IVD team placed first that year (2006-07) in multiple areas, including the Innovation category.  One highlight from this round of IVD is that students took a weekend and drove the vehicle around the entire county along the coastline utilizing the wind turbine to recharge the batteries whenever they ran low.
